Shri Kalyana Ganapati and Durgai Amman Temple-An Introduction

A temple is a place where we go to seek pardon for our sins and seek the blessings of the Almighty.

The Shri Kalyana Ganapati and Durgai Amman Temple in Annamalai Nagar, Avadi is doing yeoman service to the people of the locality.

The temple had its humble beginnings with the installation of the idol of Lord Ganesha.

This was followed by the installation of the idols of Lord Muruga and his consorts.

From a simple structure the temple has evolved into a place of worship with the further installation of the following idols:

  • Goddess Durgai Amman
  • Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi
  • Lord Ayyappa
  • Lord Kala Bhairava
  • Sarpa Devathaigal-The divine serpents
  • Navagraham-The nine planets in their divine form
  • Lord Anjaneya or Hanuman
This blog is created with the purpose of informing devotees about the existence of this temple and seek funds from charitable people to contribute to the growth of the temple.
